Nothing. ShowText Live has no accounts, no analytics and no tracking, and it never sends anything to us.
ShowText listens to the audio inputs you choose and turns speech into text on your device, using Apple's on-device speech recognition. Audio is not recorded or saved.
The transcript is saved on the Main Mac until you clear it. Remotes connected to that Mac receive it over your local network and do not keep a copy.
The Main Mac shares the transcript with the remotes you connect, directly over your own network, protected by the passcode you set. Each new remote also has to be allowed on the Main, which sees the name the remote's owner typed in.
If you choose Connect Cloudflare on the Main, you sign in to your own Cloudflare account and ShowText installs a small relay there. Remotes away from your network then reach the Main through that relay, which runs in your account, not ours. The transcript, typed lines and Listen audio pass through it on their way to your remotes; we never receive them. The sign-in only lets ShowText set up that relay; ShowText does not keep access to your Cloudflare account afterwards. Disconnect stops sharing.
We run no servers for ShowText. Nothing is ever sent to us.
Translation uses Apple's on-device Translation. Apple may download a language the first time it is used; the text itself is translated on your device.
ShowText collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
